究竟一天有多少個小時呢?相信大部分人的答案都會是24小時。但事實真的如此嗎? 為了探討這個題目,資優學苑學員姚若韻參加學苑舉辦的天文學課程,進行研究,若韻前往西貢大坳門,在同一個地點連續拍攝數百張照片,透過計算星星在1小時內移動的距離,將該數值除以360 ,從而得出恆星在夜空中完成一次360度旋轉所需的時間,也就是一天的長度。若想知道答案,就不要錯過她的文章了。

香港資優教育學苑透過校友的故事,與讀者分享創科種子如何在少年階段萌芽,讓資優學生踏上科研路。首先登場的是資優校友潘駿生。 駿生現為香港中文大學醫學院兒科學系博士後研究員。中四那年,他和兩位中學同學組隊參加2012年的「第六十三屆英特爾國際科學與工程大獎賽」,獲得二等獎。翌年2013年,駿生再度出賽,並獲三等獎。在該項比賽中,連續兩年獲獎實屬罕見。
