香港隊在「國際初中科學奧林匹克」取得優異成績（附圖）
學苑新聞 政府新聞處 2024年12月13日 六名學生代表香港參加第21屆「國際初中科學奧林匹克」，共奪得兩面金牌及四面銀牌，成績優異。 「國際初中科學奧林匹克」是一項為15歲或以下的中學生而設的科學比賽，內容涵蓋達高中程度的物理、化學及生物，比賽形式包括筆試及科學實驗，當中學生需分析和解決一些不常見的難題。本屆賽事於十二月二至十二日在羅馬尼亞舉行，共有來自52個國家或地區，約300名學生參加。 陳祉橋（皇仁書院）及田雨暘（聖保羅男女中學）在比賽中各贏得一面金牌，銀牌得主分別是陳瑋榆（保良局第一張永慶中學）、陳穎恩（聖保羅男女中學）、馬琛悅（聖保羅男女中學）及楊春澤（聖保羅男女中學）。 教育局局長蔡若蓮博士今日（十二月十三日）祝賀香港隊在賽事中表現卓越，她說：「香港隊在『國際初中科學奧林匹克』成績驕人，充分展現了學生在STEAM（科學、科技、工程、藝術和數學）領域的卓越才華和努力不懈的學習成果，實在值得讚賞。教育局會持續在中小學大力推動STEAM教育，培養學生的創新精神。同時亦會進一步加強推動學校善用校本學生人才庫，發掘及培育更多STEAM精英。」

Hong Kong Students Shine at International Junior Science Olympiad, Winning Two Gold and Four Silver Medals
學苑新聞 Bastille Post Global 13 Dec 2024 Hong Kong team achieves excellent results at International Junior Science Olympiad A team of six students representing Hong Kong achieved outstanding results in the 21st International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO 2024), winning a total of two gold and four silver medals. The IJSO is a science competition for secondary students aged 15 or below. The competition, covering physics, chemistry and biology up to the senior secondary level, comprises written assessments and science experiments that require students to analyse and solve unfamiliar problems. The IJSO 2024 was held in Romania from December 2 to 12 with the participation of around 300 contestants from 52 countries or regions.
